Look for a box like this on the wall. If there are no lights going then that it your problem.

In some restaurants the power connection for the base staion will be in the ceiling above the base station. Also check your switchboard for a tripped circuit breaker.

Headset Battery Tips

Supercharge Your Battery Life

Batteries are an important part of your headset system and should be properly taken care of. By practicing some preventive maintenance, you can keep your batteries running longer and your headsets working clearly so you can focus on your store and not your equipment.

HME's Battery Preventive Maintenance Tips

Battery

Battery Charging Basics

Do not over charge your batteries. Batteries do not need to be charged after every shift, but only when the charge is almost drained. To maintain the battery's charge longer, turn off the power to your headsets before storing. If your batteries are not charging correctly, they may need to be cleaned.

How to Clean Your Battery Contacts

Keeping your batteries clean will reduce static and keep your batteries working longer.

  1. Open the packet of alchohol wipes.
  2. Make sure battery charger is unplugged.
  3. Clean the contacts on the battery, headset/belt-pac, and battery charger.
  4. For the charger ports wrap the wipe around a pencil or pen (not metal) Alchohol Swabs from Searchfield click here to order.

Recycle & Replace Your Batteries if:

  1. You are consistently hearing excessive static in the headset.
  2. Your batteries only last 2 hours or less between charges.
  3. Your headset only works a short distance from your base station.
  4. The date code on the back of the batteries is 18 to 24 months or older.

Be sure to recycle your batteries at your local electronic recycling center or send them back to Searchfield Electrical 15 Porana Rd Glenfield Auckland.

Sticker

How to Read the Date Code on Your Batteries

  1. Locate the sticker on the back of your battery.
  2. The date code is located on the upper right corner of the sticker.
  3. The date code will appear similar to this: Y12JAN 2394.
  4. In the date code, 12JAN = January 2012. This is the month and year your battery was produced.

Zoom Timer is not operating

Check all the components are powered on - Dashboard display Screen, Control Unit (NB the CU or control unit is usually mounted behind the dashboard display screen), TSP will be either on the wall in the drive thru booth (where the old System 30 timer was) or adjacent to the headset base station on the managers office wall. The data switch has two standard locations depending on your install. On top of the CU bracket behind the the dashboard screen or in your main data cabinet

   Control Unit (CU)

    TSP Unit

       Data Switch

It is displaying OK but it looks different than it used to (Bit like the image in this picture) . It is possible the configuration has errored due to a power surge. We can usually connect from remote and correct this. See Service page

JDT Ladder screen is not updating

1. Is your Drive Thru timer operating normally ? The data for your store is derived from your timer so if the timer is not operating your ranking will not update your stores data (other stores should be fine)

2. Is your internet/VPN operating ? The timer sends data to the cloud and the ladder presenter updates from the cloud.

3. Is the JDT screen showing the Ladder logo every 10-15 mins? The ladder presnter has detected that it is not communicating. It wil reboot approx every 15mins until the connection is restored.

Do we need to connect from remote and look at it for you ? See the Service Page
